An Autumn day trip to Brattleboro
Madam Sherri’s Castle. Once upon a time, and eccentric, rich woman built a beautiful mansion in the woods of Brattleboro, Vermont. Historical records say that she really shook up the quiet little town, held posh parties, and owned a pet monkey. Many years after her passing, the property fell into ruins and eventually burned down. The only thing that remains is the grand stone staircase and parts of the fireplace.
Rumors are that this property is haunted by the spirit of Madam Sherri.
It’s a beautiful, and easy walk through the forest. The trails are well marked, and a popular place for residents to walk, explore. On this day there was another photo group photographing the landscape here.
